WHAT IS THE INTEREST OF A LIMITED EDITION ART PHOTO?

To be recognized as a work of art, a photograph, due to its “reproducible” nature, must be printed within a limit of 30 prints. Beyond this number, she loses all notion of an art photo. This is why we limit the number of prints for each of the art photographs for sale on the site to 25 copies, in order to guarantee you the purchase of a genuine photographic work of art.

 

The first five prints being reserved for exceptional prints, do not hesitate to contact us.

 

WHAT IS A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY FOR?

Each limited edition fine art photo sold on the site comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jana Call me J. This guarantees you the purchase of a genuine fine art photograph, as it is part of a limited edition . This certificate contains all the information guaranteeing that the fine art photo is of its author, as well as the number of prints that have been made of it.

 

ON WHAT PAPER ARE THE ART PHOTOGRAPHS MADE and in WHAT FORMAT?

Depending on the subject of the photo, Jana Call me J adapts the format and medium for her limited edition fine art photos. If you want a larger format than the one proposed, or if you want another printing medium, do not hesitate to ask us for it. We will be happy to meet this requirement provided that the selected fine art photograph is eligible for larger prints and the desired format / medium does not distort the work as it was imagined by its author.  


Fine Art papers are high-end papers, the cellulose sheet of which is treated without acid. The coating layer is essentially made up of mineral components. Their durability is excellent, and these Fine Art papers each have a grain and a hand which give them all their personalities.

    This Fine Art paper is very mat, close to a sheet of drawing or watercolor paper. Your colors will have a magnificent velvety texture - however, be careful to avoid scratches ...

  • RAG + PEARL 310 g
    This Pearl Fine Art paper: wide gamut, depth of blacks, satin surface ... Very close to the unmistakable silver baryta papers, which explains why their surface appearances are so similar. Note that this Rag variant is very hot, almost cream.

  • Rag 308 g
    This Fine Art paper is very mat, close to a sheet of drawing or watercolor paper. Your colors will have a magnificent velvety texture - however, be careful to avoid scratches ...

  • Rag Bright White 310 g
    Like the previous one, this paper is very matt. It is whiter and slightly less textured.

    William Turner Fine Art is a very warm paper with a very pronounced grainy texture. It is ideal for drawing reproductions or for pictorialist images ...

  • Fine Art Pearl 285 g
    White and satin, with a wide gamut, it is an ideal paper for colored or contrasting images.

  • Photo RAG Baryta 315 g
    The Rolls of Fine Art: wide gamut, depth of blacks, satin surface ... The coating layer of this paper contains barium sulphate, as in the unmistakable silver baryta papers, which explains why their surface appearances are so alike. Note that this Rag variant is very hot, almost cream.

  • Fine Art Baryta 325 g
    Like the previous one, but with a slightly more pronounced grain and - above all - perfect whiteness.

 

HOW ARE ART PHOTOS PACKAGED?

Depending on the chosen art finish, we have a range of packaging that provides limited edition photos with suitable protection. Unfinished art prints are delivered in a tube, which provides maximum protection. The framed and laminated fine art photographs are wrapped in bubble wrap and protected at all four corners by reinforcements, then packed in reinforced cardboard. Finally, wooden crates can be used for large orders or specific requests from you.

 

WHAT MEANS OF TRANSPORT IS USED?

It depends on your order. We always select the most appropriate among the following providers: UPS, TNT, DHL or private carriers. So that your limited edition art photo is delivered in the best conditions.

 

WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF VAT?

The sale of an original work by the author or his successors in title is taxed at 5.5%.

 

Is considered as the original work "Photograph taken and printed by the artist, or under his control, signed and numbered within the limit of 30 copies, all formats and supports combined, of which the author is alive. VAT on delivery is at the usual rate of 20%; when it applies.

Did you know?

Works of art are not subject to the Tax on Real Estate Fortune (IFI).  

 

Investing in art to pay less tax

 

Art remains an often overlooked safe haven. A real tax niche for companies, tax exemption through art is nonetheless an interesting investment, even for moderately well-off households: they can bring into play the tax advantage on the capital gain during a sale, an inheritance or transmission.  This placement, less known to the French  maximizes tax savings while providing real pleasure to beautify an interior and enhance its heritage.  But that's not all, the collectibles and original creations that you acquire can be used as means of payment for taxes like IFI or inheritance tax. A mode of transaction made possible thanks to the Malraux Law.

By "works of art" we certainly mean paintings but also art photographs.

Jana guarantees the uniqueness of her works. The artist's handwritten signature on the back of each limited edition proves that the work is an original. The edition certificate also provides information on format, date, edition and serial number.
